Here's a short list of things to do on Maui.

Take a helicopter tour around the island.

Visit Haleakala National Park.
You can hike into the crater, ride horseback into the crater,
bike down the volcano, or simply admire the view from 10,000 feet up.

Be sure to stop at the Kula Lodge & Restaurant, on the way up or back. The food is great, and the view down into the valley is stunning.

Drive the road to Hana. Tip:

If you drive to Hana within 3 days of Haleakala,
you can reuse your park admission when you
visit the 7 pools of Ohe'o (which are accessible from the
Haleakala visitor's center at Kipahulu, a few miles beyond Hana).

Visit the art galleries, restaurants, and whaling history in the towns of
Lahaina and Kaanapali.

Walk to the Maui Ocean Center and the shops at Maalaea Village.

Explore the West Maui Mountains, home of Iao Valley and the Heritage
Gardens.
